Josh Richardson Can’t Win It for The Heat

American Airlines Arena, Miami, November 27, Miami Heat were very close to making a fantastic comeback against the Atlanta Hawks at home but fell short and took a painful loss.

The 1st quarter of the game was offensive mayhem since both sides were playing with practically no defense, the visitors scored 35 points while the home team scored 38. However, things changed immeasurably in the 2nd quarter where Miami couldn’t hit almost anything and got dominated 33 – 14, and after the 2nd quarter, they were trailing by 16 points. Hawks held out wonderfully in the 3rd quarter as they were keeping up offensively with the Heat and at the start of the 4th were leading by 14 points. Miami started their comeback in the 4th quarter when with only 4:30 left in the game they melted the entire lead and were leading themselves by 1 point. Hawks then went on a run and with 14 seconds remaining they had a 2-point lead, 115 – 113. Miami had the chance to do something, and Dwyane Wade found wonderfully the completely-free Josh Richardson, who took a 3-point shot but missed.

For the Hawks, Taurean Prince had 18 points and five rebounds, while Trae Young had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. For the Heat, Josh Richardson had 22 points and 4 rebounds while Dwyane Wade had 18 points and 3 assists.

Hawks welcome Hornets on Wednesday, while Heat play at home versus the Pelicans on Friday.
